Make A Piped Cushion with Wendy Turner

Learn how to make your own beautifully finished piped cushion in this practical, hands-on workshop.

You’ll be guided through each stage of the process, from cutting and preparing your fabric to creating neat piping and assembling your cushion cover. Even as a beginner this friendly workshop is a great opportunity to develop new skills and techniques, such as seams, piping, and zip insertion. The alternative option is to make a cushion with a frill edge.

By the end of the session, you’ll have made your own gorgeous piped cushion to take home, along with the skills and confidence to make more.

Bring your own machine or book one of ours.

You will need the following materials:

Fabric: 50cm by 92cm (36") or 112cm (45") wide

Zip: 35cms

Cushion Pad: 40cm square

Piping Cord: 3mm x 1 metre 80cm. You can also make your own piping from your fabric, if you would like to do this buy an extra 30cm.
